deciduous vs evergreen

Is burning bush euonymus deciduous or evergreen? Does it need full sun? I have beautiful euonymus plants here and want to complement them with some more colorful additions. golden needs full sun, whereas the ones I have, that are mature and lovely, are under a large chestnut tree and flourish in the shade.

Euonymus alatus is a deciduous shrub. While it grows in part to mostly shade, the deep red fall color is better with mostly sun conditions. While it is deciduous, the dense branching provides a good measure of privacy. The species grows to 20 feet tall, “dwarf” is 10 x 10 feet and Odom Little Moses is 2-3 ft. tall and wide.
