damaged monstera plant

My large Monstera has been trampled on and lost leaves at end of stem. Will it recover in time and what can I do to help restore it?

Trim away the damaged leaves and continue to care for the leave.
As long as it did not suffer damage to more than 1/3 of the leaves, it should recover.
