Cycad butterfly infestation

We have a certain butterfly that lays eggs on the new cycad leaves and after that the leaves wither away. I have photos of the butterfly and eggs. How can I keep the butterflies away from the new leaves.

If you actually see caterpillars eating the leaves, you can use Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), which you can find in garden centers or big box stores.
