croton plants -pruning

My croton plant has grown too large to be accommodated in my home. Can I prune it/cut it back?
If so, how do I do this without damaging the plant?

If you decide to cut it back, do so sparingly. They don’t really care to be cut back much. Make sure to use clean shears, so that the plant doesn’t contract an infection. Here is an article for more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/croton/care-croton-plants.htm [1]
