Hard to say……….the root hairs have been “abused.” Try soaking it in a bucket of water (in the shade) for a few hours to rehydrate. You may be lucky. I would plant it after soaking and see what it does. If small, I would put it in a pot and water very well until you see some sign of recovery. Complete shade will be best until that happens
