Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comGreetings, I had to leave after planting my corn. On return the silk was yellow and I was waiting until it turned choc brown but something ate all the silks off last night. How else can I tell when to pick it. Thank you, Tom

Generally, this is about 20 days after you see silks appear! You can puncture a kernel or two and check to see if it has entered the "milk phase", as well.
