Clover in my lawn

My lawn contains lots of clover . How can I get rid of this please?

Clover is becoming resistant to herbicides. Round-Up, glyphosate, works but it kills all growth it comes in contact with. Of the selective (broad-leaf) herbicides only dicamba is said to work; however, it is highly toxic. Moreover, it will not kill the clover seeds that are in your soil by now. Clover grows where the nitrogen level in the lawn is low. By putting your lawn on a regular fertilizer program, you can eliminate clover. This won’t happen this year but you should start seeing improvement next year. It is much better ecologically than dicamba.
