Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a cherry tree which is as explained self pollination but for 2 years after planting have no cherries, it flowers and gets covered in black bugs which I have been spraying with soapy water but to no avail and today noticed brown blotches on the leaves

This appears to be a fungal infection. Unfortunately, this will require annual treatment to ever see any cherries from the tree. Here is an article that will help:
