Cats

Can I put a layer of topsoil with manure in it down under where I put all my new mulch to keep the neighbors cats out of it ? They use all my new mulch as a litter box every year and I don’t know what to do!! I have used the stuff you sprinkle on your lawn to keep them out. Doesn’t work. Thank you, Heather Whipkey

The only way to really keep cats or other animals out of compost is to use a closed compost system.
Certainly try your system, it could work.
