Care For My Poinsettia

I live in central Florida. I planted this poinsettia outside last March. As you can see it was beautiful. Unfortunately we had a frost last week. I had it covered but the freeze was more than I expected. The right side of my plant burnt. My question for you is do I cut back the burnt part now or wait until March, and cut it back all at once. I have done both, cutting dead wood right away and later when there is new growth or leaf out. It is better to avoid this damage from the cold than to take corrective action after the plant is injured so, move it into a protected location as soon as overnight temperatures are forecasted below 50F or around your city's average date of first frost. For LEESBURG, that falls around the 2nd-3rd weeks of December. Your average date of last frost is around the 1st-2nd weeks of March. Also, test the potting soil weekly (or less) and water if it feels dry or almost dry.
