Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comAbout 10 years ago, I collected some canna seeds and put them in a plastic storage container. This spring, I found them. I filled the container with warm (not hot) water overnight. The next day, they had begun to sprout, so I planted them in light potting soil. A week later, they ALL germinated. They’re now happily growing in my back yard.
Q: How long can you keep canna seeds and expect them to germinate?

I couldn't find any research on this particular seed, but I know most seeds aren't expected to be viable after only a few years! Thanks for sharing the information!
