canna lilies, dwarf

I brought my Canna inside in September (first sign of frost) and have it in a south facing window. It keeps sending up shoots and flower stalks and blooms. Will it ever spontaneously stop so I can let it hibernate?

You must, first, let the green growth die off outside. These cooler temperatures are what initiates dormancy. Bringing them in will only keep them growing, and not allow them the proper time to rest. Just make sure to wrap the roots so they will remain warm while the tops get killed by the cold.
