canna bulb storage

I live in Minnesota; this is my first year to store the bulbs. Is there a temperature limit in this storage? Inside a heated house in winter with the furnace running is limited to the lower temperature because of the heat. If I store them in the garage, there are times it will be in the 20s when the weather gets really cold. What is your best suggestion for them to stay living in my storage areas?

Please let me know.
Thanks,
Tom Theis.

About 40-50 degrees is the best temperature to store canna bulbs, but if this is not possible you can store them elsewhere. I think it is more important to prevent them from freezing, so don’t store them in your garage.

If you have room, you can store them in the refrigerator. Otherwise, indoors in the coolest spot in the house (away from the furnace) would be the best place for them.
