Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comlike a noxious weed. This plant showed up after a cherry tree died in a pot. I can see that there are smaller plants like this plant behind in the background. It is kinda pretty, unique. Hope you can help my friend out.

It looks very much like Amaranthus palmeri or A. retroflexus, a type of pigweed.
