Can you plant a rubber tree outside?

I have a rubber tree that has become to large to keep indoors. I want to move it outside but don’t know if it will survive.

Rubber trees are only hardy to 30 F. If it gets colder than that at all where you live, the tree cannot not be planted outside permanently. You can keep it outside in a container in the summer though.
