Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI’ve devised a great self watering system and I need too know if okra would do well with a continual supply of water. I know it does well in hot dry conditions, don’t know how it would do with damp feet all the time. Would also like to know the same about herbs and other plants. Do you know of any plants that should not be grown in self watering? Thanks for any advice.

The watering instructions in this article are pretty much the same in all the research. Based on the advice that they need about 1.5 inches of water every 7-10 days, I would deduce from this that a constant watering condition would not be good for them. Most plants don't like to sit in water because the roots become water-logged and cannot send nutrients up to the plant. Root rot is always something to watch out for.
