If your compost stinks, it’s because it is rotting rather than composting. You don’t need oil to mask the smell (I doubt it would work anyway,) you need to study more about composting. The compost pile needs to heat up enough to destroy weeds, bugs, and bacteria — the bacteria are what cause the smell bad.
