Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi there! I’m in zone 7b (New York City), and I have a paved 16′ x 17′ roof terrace, west facing. It’s fairly sheltered, but can get a bit windy. I’d like to add a multi-trunk tree with smallish leaves, that grows fairly slender, for some architectural interest. A photo of the terrace from a previous owner shows what looks like a tall River Birch – would this be a suitable tree, or is there something that would be better?
