Can I Put Twelve Inches Of Soil On Top Of Established Bamboo?

I have existing beds that I would like to raise.

It will, likely, kill some of the bamboo. I wouldn't worry, though. Bamboo is so hardy that many of the shoots will make it through and it will adapt accordingly.
