Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI bought the cactus at an estate sale…it has really long thin branches with green leaves at the ends ( researching I found this is from not enough light) How much can I prune it, and when?
Also, it is potted in a regular pot rather than a shallow dish planter. Can I cut off the long roots and plant it properly?

In case you're interested in propagating the plant, here's another helpful article for you. From your description, I think it is a desert rose cactus.
