Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI lost all my trees in a tornado (100 + year old white pines) .I would like to replace them with fruit producing trees instead of the usual maples and pines. I was thinking of a pear tree. Is it realistic considering the cold winter? What other trees would you recommend?

There are a few different varieties that would be suitable for your area.
Loma, Julienne, Lorraine, Patten and Southworth Pear.
Visit local garden centers for trees that are in your growing zone for best results.
