Can I Cut Branches From A Rubber Tree Plant And Place In Water To Root?

My very old indoor rubber tree plant is dropping leaves and has become very woody. I’m looking to remove healthy branches and root to make a new plant.

Yes, you can propagate from cuttings but you can put the cutting right into potting soil. Here is how:
