Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe have several sago palms that are several years old. One has been “treed” and is estimated 30 years old. So they have lived thru a lot. Last fall, the fronds started to turn yellow and then brown. We cut one completely back, but it’s new growth came back yellow. Then in December, we had a short very cold spell which probably did additional damage. So I’m wondering systemic or weather or both. One arborist guessed root fungus but not at all convincing. As I said they are in the same location, growing conditions where they have been for years with no problem. Any suggestions for saving them will be greatly appreciated.

I would, also, agree with the Anthracnose diagnosis. That is what it appears to be. You could be seeing signs of MANGANESE not magnesium) deficiency, alongside that.
