Brown spots on lawn

We are getting increasingly more brown spots on our lawn, we’ve treated for chafer grubs and leather jackets and also red thread fungus but they are getting worse, any suggestions please.

It is possible that mowing the grass too close damaged it because it had grown tall. To avoid damaging grass it is best to only cut the top third of the blade at each mowing.
