Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHave some basil seedlings and some of them are developing leaves mottled with black/brown specs. Any ideas? Basil is being grown outdoors in New Zealand.

I believe this to be the Downy Mildew pathogen on your young seedlings.
Your young seedlings can be infected by having infected seeds.
You will need to destroy the plants.
