Brown leaves

My ponytail palm is developing brown leaves underneath the green ones. Does it have to do with the watering? Should I trim them off?

Make sure the soil is drying before each watering, they prefer a dry soil.
Over watering is the biggest issue with Ponytail Palms.
You can trim the brown edges of leaves.
