Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI am new to bromeliads. Purchased a bromeliad in a small (3 inch) pot. The plant is about 10 inches tall with red bract. I plan to let it grow until the “pups” form and the plant dies. Would the plant grow if I put it in a larger pot? I would use a an orchid (bark) potting medium. I plan to use demineralized water in the “cup” or reservoir of the bromeliad. I plan to place it on a pebble tray for humidity and mist it periodically using demineralized water.

Sounds like you have been growing them for years. Yes, you could move it to a larger pot, but keep it shallow.
