Bromelaid Flowers

When a plant flowers, what do you do with the flower, cut it off when it tends to wilt? Can you get seed from the flower and get them to grow? Have had good success rate with them or with the pups. Have taken 4 off one plant and now and I have 3 new ones coming on the same plant. Is this normal or am I just lucky?

Yes, bromeliads can be grown from seed if the flower has been pollinated. Propagation from pups tends to have a high success rate, while growing from seed may have a lower success rate, depending on the species. The number of pups varies by species, but it sounds like your bromeliad is very healthy if it has so many pups.
