Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in Dallas and am looking for plants that will withstand bounce back heat along a west facing garage wall. The red yuccas are doing okay at this point but I would like something with color and height. Would a Mexican flame vine work?

Yes, Mexican flame vine will work well near your red yucca. If you want to sprinkle some seeds along there, too, zinnias and tithonia will reseed and come back every year. Plus they will bring in the butterflies and hummers like the red yucca and flame vine. For perennials, purple coneflowers are tall, coreopsis is medium height depending on the cultivar.
