Bonsai red under bark, what does this mean?

I did a scratch test on my Juniper bonsai, and all under the bark is red. What does this mean?

The leaves on the bonsai in some parts are also starting to yellow/brown, what should I do?

This is the natural color of this bark. The needles appear to be a normal shedding process; from the inside of the branch.
