Bleeding Heart

My bleeding heart is so large, I would like to know how to trim or divide it. From what I have read, it is risky to attempt either. It is in the perfect location and is absolutely thriving. Don’t have any other appropriate location in my yard. Do you have any suggestions? The picture below is one from last year. This year, it has grown another foot and is growing up the stairs to my screened patio.

Yes, you can transplant a Bleeding Heart. Wait until it has finished blooming or move it in the fall.
