Black Leaves on Outdoor Gardenia Bush

I have a very large gardenia bush in my garden. It has a lot of black leaves on it. How canĀ I get rid of it? The bush is now blooming and I don’t want to do anything to harm it. I live in south Florida.

It has sooty mold, which is an indicator that it also has pests. This article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/disease/how-to-get-rid-of-sooty-mold.htm [1]
