Nosegays are usually made up of flowers and herbs chosen for their meaning (roses = love, rosemary = remembrance). The stems should be sturdy and long enough to be gathered up into a bunch. Avoid unpleasing scented plants. Almost all flowering plants have a ”message in the flower language”. Posies, nosegays and tussie-mussies are generally handheld or placed in a small vase. Sweet peas, roses, herbs, statice, daisies, oh my goodness, my fingers can’t type all the rest there are SO many!
