bean yellow mosaic virus

We have been told that we have bean yellow mosaic virus on our Kentucky Wonder climbing beans. Our question is, are the beans edible?

From my understanding – if the fruit of the plant shows no blemishes it might be ok to eat, but the quality and flavor would probably be compromised. Hence, destroying the plant is probably your best bet.
