Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI purchased two bare-root trees. I did not soak them before planting. I had them two days in my garage in a black plastic bag with wet hay in there. My son dashed out and planted them for me. I am worried that the roots were too dry. Also, one of the tree’s collar is above ground level. Is it ok to mound dirt up high enough to cover that part?

You can mound up the soil to the collar. They should be ok, as long as they are kept well watered.
