Baby sunflower leaves have been eaten

I have planted a sunflower outside it had it’s first set of leaves but then in morning the leaves have gone!! Just a stalk left! Will it grow or just die now? Thanks Mandy

The leaves produce the much needed photosynthesis, so it's definitely at a handicap. Here is a link to a series of articles that will help you identify what's eating your plants:
