Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHello! So I recently started germinating my avocado seed. Just a few days ago it started to crack open. I don’t know if I should leave the cracked side in the water or on top out of the water. Thank you so much!

You should plant it, immediately, pointy side down. This germination step is unnecessary, and often causes infection before the tree has time to mature.
I recommend direct sowing these to soil, or for slightly better results, wrap in a wet paper towel in a zip loc bag. Put this in a drawer for a week or two. Once you see the seed crack, it is time to plant.
