Are Insecticidal Soaps Safe for Vegetable Consumption?

I have insect damage to some recently planted zucchini plants and want to make sure using insecticides is safe. I have had a garden for a few years and never had so much insect damage.

Yes, most insecticidal soaps are safe on vegetables, though I would still recommend thoroughly cleaning them prior to eating. Another product you might want to consider is neem oil, which is an organic pesticide/fungicide that is perfectly safe for humans, as well as pets.
