Are Endive and Frisee Cruciferous?

Dr. Mercola refers to curly endive as “another crucifer” and I’ve seen frisee mentioned in relation to endive. However, neither of them appear on your “complete list” of cruciferous vegetables. I am hypothyroid. It is important that I do NOT eat raw cruciferous vegs.

No, they are not cruciferous and are not in the Cruciferae or Brassicaceae families, which most cruciferous veggies belong to. Endive is part of the genus Cichorium.
