Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy anthurium is very healthy, but it’s growing like crazy! Has become very top heavy and vine-like. Can I chop it off and stick the new top half in another pot?
It lives indoors, on a pop out, eastern facing kitchen window.

I believe the vines you are seeing are aerial roots. Yes, you can cut the top off of the plant about 1 inch above the dirt. The bottom will re-sprout. Put the top, which appears to have air roots, in a new pot. Keep it watered and you should soon have two new plants.
