American Wisteria Pruning

My American Wisteria is growing up a pergola. It is 3years old. It has a bunch of vines winding up the pergola – not one big thick one as I see in pictures. What should I do?

These take very long time to get that big. You can’t really help it out much, other than giving it proper care until it reaches maturity.
