Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHello so I have an amaryllis and it didn’t bloom this year because I dug it up to early so it sent up green leafs instead of a stem which I get . So today the pot fell over and the leaf broke off so I cut it to the bulb . Did I do the right thing by cutting it to the bulb ? Will it grow back ? And when will it send up new growth?

You should only cut off what is dead or broken. Cutting ANY living material from an Amaryllis is a big no-no. The only thing that you can do is wait and care for it properly. Please consult our amaryllis articles. They can be found here: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/amaryllis-hippeastrum [1]
