The best way to transport iris is to wash off the soil then wrap in slightly dampened paper towel. Seal in plastic bag. (plant as soon as possible) TSA allows plants as long as they comply with carry-on baggage rules. USDA and WA Dept of Agriculture have quarantine rules but these apply to bulk nursery stock.

p.s. Cut the leaves down to 4 inches for transport.
