Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comJust noticed my aloe plant had rotted at the base and fell off. The plant itself still looks alive, but no roots attached. Can I save it? Will it live if I just put it on top of soil, or is it gone even though it is still pretty and green?

It is very difficult to propagate an Aloe Vera from a cutting, with it’s high moisture content.
If you have no roots, it may be time to get a new plant.
