about sago palms

I had white stuff on plant. I cut all fronds off and sprayed with dawn soap and water and treated with systemic. It grew back great. I am going to keep treating with systemic but do I need to also keep spraying with soap and water?

The Asian scale that infests sagos is almost impossible to get rid of. Persistence is imperative, but most people eventually get tired of constantly fussing with the plant. However, there’s always a chance that they’ll find a real cure for the stuff, so if you want to keep on treating, this article has some suggestions: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/trees/sago-palm/white-spots-on-sago.htm [1]
