A New Plant Owner

I just bought a few foliage plant and do not know how to take of plants indoors. I have a poorly lit house and I have a few foilage plants. . . will a lamp on for a few hours will do?

Yes, a plain florescent bulb placed within a foot or two of a plant will help provide the light it needs.
