Zucchini Growing

I want to grow early zucchinis in my hot house. I have seen a commercial grower do this and the technique he was using eliminated the spreading nature of these plants. He had them tied up much as one does a tomato plant. I have tried this but without success. What tying product should I use to eliminate breakage of the tender stems? What pruning technique do you suggest? Any other advice would be much appreciated. I would also like to do the same with capsicums.

There may be difficulties growing in the hot house because of reduced light level; you might consider growing “baby”type squashes. Wide, soft material, such as torn shirts or panty hose, work well for tying the stems to the support, and tie them often as they grow.
