zucchini

Question

Some of my zucchini are turning orange on the vine and when I pick them, thinking that they are over ripe, they are hard. Could I have gotten 2 kinds of seed mixed together? If not, what do you think the problem is? Thank you.

Yes, you probable are not picking them soon enough.
It also could be blossom end rot that is causing this.
