Zucchini and Squash Plants Not Producing

Question

I have planted zucchini and yellow-crocked neck squash and all the plants looked great and were full of blooms and then blooms fell off and the plants began drying up. I have made sure that I have watered every other night (when we have not gotten any rain) and do not know what I am doing wrong. Two years ago I had the best crop of zucchini and squash, and last year I had the same problem I am having this year. HELP!
