Zucchini Turning Yellow

I have harvested some zucchini already, but there are some that are turning yellow and look sickly. Why? Also, some of the blossoms are starting to fall off.

This issue would be caused by either a watering issue or a fertilizer issue.
Make sure your zucchini is getting even and appropriate amounts of water (about 2″ every week) and provide either some fertilizer or some compost to the plant. As for the flowers, it is normal for the plant to drop male blossoms as these do not produce fruit. Only the female blossoms form into zucchini squash.
